“After thirteen years of political persecution and wrongful imprisonment, four U.S. veterans reunited last Christmas with their loyal families after receiving Presidential pardons that some described as “an affront to justice.”
In their first joint interview on The Shawn Ryan Show, the four men of Blackwater USA’s Raven 23 Tactical Support Team sit down with Shawn Ryan to discuss the most controversial gunfight of the entire Iraq War, the complete system failure of the U.S. government, a corrupt court system, and incompetent journalists that demonized them as war criminals and convicted them before standing trial, despite their innocence.
In an extensive interview, Dustin Heard, Evan Liberty, Nick Slatten and Paul Slough discuss their ordeal as well as their experience in battle, their time in prison, their faith, and reuniting with their families.
Special appearances from Gina Keating and Eddie Gallagher.”.

Keating, G. (2023). Raven 23; Presumption of Guilt
“Our war veterans need our help. In this interview, you will hear stories that will show how many of them are getting wrongly accused by many opinions for political purposes. Nick Slatten will tell his story and that of Calvin Gibbs that will leave you asking, why? Why are our war veterans who swore an Oath to defend our Constitutional rights not getting theirs? Nick is known as one of The Biden Four, who, in most people's opinion, was wrongly accused. His conviction took a lot of work by the government, but he was later pardoned by President Trump. This interview will leave you asking why?”.

“Make no mistake, this case is complicated. Between three trials, multiple court decisions, and hundreds of pages of briefs, examining the facts is like peeling an onion of complexity and confusion.”.
French, D. (2019, May 28). Pardon the Men of Raven 23ID FRENCH
“Nick Slatten was working for Black Water in 2007 when he found himself in a gunfight in Baghdad, Iraq. After two failed attempts, the federal government in 2014 wrongfully convicted Nick of Voluntary Manslaughter and sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole. However, in 2020, President Trump gave him a full pardon and sent him home. Today, Nick and I are meeting to discuss another soldier named Calvin Gibbs, who was wrongfully convicted of 3 counts of murder and sentenced to life in prison. The special timing of this episode is that tomorrow, July 7th, is Calvin's first parole hearing. Please listen and share this discussion to help get the word out about Calvin so we can get him back home to his family.”.

Attkisson, S. (2021). The Journey Home | Full MeasureNCH
“We begin with one of the most unusual and lengthy criminal court battles you may ever hear about. It all started in Iraq in 2007 with US contractors accused of killing innocent civilians in the heat of war. One of the accused, a decorated former U.S. soldier, was on trial just this past week for a second time eleven years after the incident. In all, the lives of four decorated former US soldiers still hang in the balance after all this time. Did they act in legitimate self-defense...or are they criminals? And did our own government suppress and misrepresent evidence? Today's cover story is the lingering case of Raven 23.”.
